Chilli Paneer

Ingredients

  • Paneer Cubed
  • Onion – 1 large cubed
  • Bell Peppers Green/Red – 1 large cubed or Thick Slices
  • Carrots – thick slices
  • Garlic – 3 chopped finely
  • Ginger – chopped finely
  • Green Chilli – 6 cut in diagonals
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  • Tomato ketchup –  to taste
  • Sweet Chilli Sauce – to taste
  • Soy Sauce – to taste
  • Vinegar – 1 tsp
  • Schezwan sauce – to taste
  • Passata – 6-7 tablespoon (depending on how much gravy you want to make)
  • Cornflour
  • Spring Onion a handful finely chopped

Method:

  1. Cover the paneer in cornflour
  2. Deep fry paneer in oil until golden brown and crispy
  3. Put aside the paneer and dry of any excess oil
  4. In a large wok, put 2 tbsp of oil and let heat
  5. Add Onions and let cook for 2 mins
  6. Add garlic, ginger, bell peppers,carrots,salt,sugar and cook for 10 mins
  7. Add the passata depending if you want the paneer dry or with gravy.
  8. Add all the sauces (Tomato ketchup,Sweet chilli Sauce,Schezwan Sauce,Soy Sauce, Vinegar, according to taste, the spicier you want it  add more Schezwan Sauce)
  9. Add salt according to taste and add the Chopped green chillies- Cook for 2 mins
  10. Add the fried paneer and let marinate for a few minutes!
  11. Serve, with a sprinkle of spring onion on top
